Reporting a Pupil Absence

If a pupil is unable to attend, parents must telephone the school by 9.30 am on the first day of absence and every day of absence following that.

If no contact or message is received from parents the school will send a text to confirm the absence.

When the child returns to school he/she should bring a note explaining the reason for absence as, by law, the school must account for all absences.

Where possible, medical appointments should take place out of school hours. If this has not been possible, an appointment card or medical evidence as proof of appointment is required.
