A Brilliant Forest School Adventure

It’s been a busy and exciting week for our Year 3 children at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Billingham!
They took part in a Forest School session, which was nothing short of fantastic. Our pupils had the opportunity to collect natural materials and, working carefully and collaboratively, they successfully created their own fire.

Their focus, maturity, and sense of responsibility were outstanding. Every child demonstrated excellent safety awareness, listened attentively to guidance, and supported their friends throughout the activity. It was a proud moment for staff to witness such sensible behaviour and strong teamwork in action.

Developing New Skills at Queen’s Campus

As if that wasn’t enough excitement for one week, Year 3 also enjoyed an engaging racket‑skills workshop at Queen’s Campus. The session introduced them to new techniques, including swing control, hitting skills, and structured play.

The instructors were impressed by their enthusiasm and willingness to try their best. Our children encouraged one another, showed great determination, and embraced the challenge with confidence. Their behaviour was exemplary from start to finish.

A Week Full of Pride

Across both activities, Year 3 represented St Joseph’s beautifully. Their respect, teamwork, and positive attitudes shone through, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they achieved.

Well done, Year 3 - what a week you’ve had!
