Parental Support Advisor

As part of my responsibilities within the school community, I work closely with children and their families to foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. I am an active member of the safeguarding team, contributing to the protection and welfare of all pupils by identifying concerns, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.

I oversee daily attendance and punctuality, monitoring patterns and working proactively with families to address barriers to regular school attendance. This includes implementing early help strategies and supporting families to engage with relevant services.

In addition, I provide direct support to families experiencing challenges related to emotional wellbeing, food insecurity, fuel poverty, housing instability, and financial hardship. I help them navigate available resources, including local authority services, charitable organisations, and school-based initiatives, to ensure children’s basic needs are met and they are able to thrive both academically and personally.
