The Holy Family is the name given to Jesus, Mary and Joseph, who lived together as a loving family in Nazareth. Their home was simple, but it was filled with faith, patience and trust in God. Mary showed love and obedience to God, Joseph cared for and protected his family, and Jesus grew in wisdom, kindness and obedience. The Holy Family reminds us that God is present in everyday family life and that love, forgiveness and care for one another are at the heart of a happy home. They are a model for all families, showing us how to live with respect, faith and love. The Feast of the Holy Family is celebrated during the Christmas season.
Dear Lord Jesus, help our families to grow in love, kindness and faith, following the example of the Holy Family.
