Children at our school are given the opportunity to prepare for and receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion during Year 4 and upwards. This is an important step in their faith journey and is offered to families who wish their child to take part.
Preparation takes place in partnership with parents, the parish and school, helping children to develop their understanding of the Eucharist, the Mass, and the love of God present in this sacrament.
Through age-appropriate teaching, prayer and reflection, children are supported to grow in faith and respect for this special moment. We value the role of families as the primary educators in faith and encourage them to be actively involved throughout the preparation process.
