At St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Billingham, our Year 1 children had an unforgettable experience during their latest Forest School session!

Yesterday, the forest became a classroom as the children explored the art of pizza making in the great outdoors

They began by designing their own pizzas, choosing from a variety of tasty toppings to create unique and delicious combinations. Then, under the guidance of our Forest School leaders, they cooked their pizzas over an open fire—a truly exciting and hands-on experience!

Finally, the best part: enjoying their freshly cooked creations surrounded by nature.

This activity was more than just fun—it helped develop teamwork, creativity, and practical cooking skills, all while connecting with the natural environment.

What an amazing way to combine learning, adventure, and outdoor education at St Joseph's!
