A Special Visit Enriches Outdoor Learning
Year 1 pupils at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Billingham enjoyed a memorable morning of outdoor learning thanks to a special visit from Mr Haswell, who kindly volunteered his time to support the class with their spring planting activities.
Exploring Nature and New Knowledge
The children loved getting stuck in - digging, planting and discovering how new life begins in the spring. As they prepared the outdoor learning area for the season ahead, they learned about what plants need to grow and why caring for the environment is so important.
Hands‑on experiences like this help bring science to life, encouraging curiosity and giving pupils the chance to develop confidence and enthusiasm in their learning.
A Heartfelt Thank You
The school extends a warm thank you to Mr Haswell for his time, enthusiasm and green‑fingered guidance. His support helped create a fun, educational and inspiring morning for the children - one they will remember fondly.
