A Day of Colour and Compassion
What an unforgettable day it has been at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Billingham, where pupils, families, and staff came together for a vibrant and meaningful ‘Crazy Hair’ Day in support of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Classrooms were bursting with colour, imagination, and creativity as children arrived with the most brilliant and bold hairstyles.
Incredible Creativity From Our School Community
We want to give a huge shout‑out to our wonderful parents and carers, whose imagination and effort helped bring these amazing styles to life. From glittery updos to rainbow spikes, each hairstyle reflected fantastic creativity and enthusiasm. The excitement across the school was infectious, and it was heart‑warming to see everyone taking part with such joy.
Walking for Awareness
Some of our dedicated Mini Vinnies and members of our Community Crew also joined pupils from local primary schools for a special MND awareness walk. Together, they tied blue ribbons, handed out knitted MND hearts, and shared messages of kindness with members of our local community. Their actions helped spread awareness and compassion far beyond the school gates.
A Fantastic Fundraising Achievement
Thanks to the generosity and support of our families, pupils, and the wider community, we raised over £120 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. This contribution will help support vital research and provide assistance to individuals and families affected by MND.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this day so meaningful. At St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Billingham, we are proud to support causes that inspire empathy, awareness, and unity.
