Some of our wonderful Year 5 pupils had the privilege of visiting Hadrian Park Care Home to help mark VE Day, sharing a truly special morning with residents.

Sharing Stories, Songs and Smiles

During the visit, the children took part in a range of activities alongside residents, including colouring, sharing stories and singing well‑known wartime songs. The music filled the room with joy and created a lovely sense of togetherness, with smiles all round.

Building Meaningful Connections

This visit marks the beginning of an exciting new initiative. Moving forward, children from each class will take turns visiting the care home every few weeks to play games, chat and spend meaningful time together. These visits provide a valuable opportunity for pupils to learn about compassion, respect and the importance of community.

Thank You for a Warm Welcome

A heartfelt thank you to Hadrian Park Care Home for making us feel so welcome. Experiences like this truly reflect our school values and commitment to serving others.

Well done to our Year 5s for representing our school with such kindness and enthusiasm.
