Pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Billingham have been making the most of their Carlton residential, enjoying a wide range of outdoor activities while building confidence and teamwork skills.

A Day Full of Outdoor Challenges

Children have taken part in an exciting programme of activities, including gulley walking, shelter building, climbing wall challenges and high ropes. Each activity gave pupils the chance to challenge themselves, try something new and support their classmates.

Throughout the day, everyone showed fantastic teamwork, determination and enthusiasm, fully embracing the opportunities on offer.

Relaxing After a Busy Day

After an action-packed day, pupils enjoyed dinner together before taking time to relax and unwind. The evening provided a chance for everyone to recharge ahead of another busy day.

The night was a great success, with pupils settling quickly after watching some of the World Cup. Staff even described it as “quite possibly the best night’s sleep” they have ever had on a residential.

Ready for Another Exciting Day

The group was up bright and early the following morning, ready to start the day with breakfast and prepare for more activities.

The Carlton residential continues to be a memorable experience, helping pupils to develop independence, resilience and lasting friendships.
