Year 1 at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Billingham enjoyed an unforgettable morning as they took part in the exciting Stockton Sports Partnership Pirate Festival. With beaming smiles and boundless energy, the children threw themselves into each activity — and truly embraced life as little pirates!
Throughout the morning, our young adventurers put their balancing skills to the test as they bravely “walked the plank,” demonstrating fantastic focus and coordination. They continued their training by hunting for treasure, developing their throwing and catching skills as they worked together to discover hidden gems.
But no pirate adventure would be complete without a daring escape! The children loved rolling, stretching, and moving their bodies as they pretended to swim away from sharks — an imaginative challenge that sparked lots of laughter.
It was a fantastic, fun‑filled morning for everyone involved. Well done, Year 1! We are incredibly proud of your enthusiasm, teamwork, and brilliant behaviour throughout the whole adventure.
